There was a sense of excitement in the air last week as Homes for Heroes Foundation officially broke ground on the Winnipeg Kinsmen Veterans Village.

The sod-turning ceremony marked an important step forward in bringing safe, supportive housing to Veterans in need. Guests gathered at the future village site to celebrate the start of construction and the impact this project will have on Veterans in Winnipeg and surrounding communities.

The Winnipeg Kinsmen Veterans Village will provide Veterans with more than a place to live. It will offer a supportive community where residents can access the resources, stability, and connections they need to move forward in their lives.

The event brought together partners, supporters, community leaders, and Veterans who have helped make the project possible. Their commitment and belief in the mission of ending Veteran homelessness have played a key role in reaching this milestone.
